Our Mission
Our mission is to save lives and create cultural safety, by providing compassionate, efficient, and spiritually inclined support to humanity. We aim to meet people where they are at, de-stigmatize mental health, and foster long term relationships with our peers and community. As a group of lived experience individuals, we strive to serve all nations and contribute to the well being of individuals across diverse cultures.
Our History
Kandu was founded in 2019 by a group of community members who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to helping the vulnerable individuals in the Okanagan region. Since then, we have grown into a thriving nonprofit, serving hundreds of individuals each year.
Our Partners
We are proud to partner with a variety of organizations to provide the best possible support to our clients. We currently partner with Central Okanagan Food Bank, Salvation Army, NeighbourHood Small Grants, Interior Health, ROAR, First Nations Health Authority, West Bank First Nation, Interior Savings, University of Victoria, Govt of BC, West Coast Leaf and so much more!
